About the Artist


Lorna René is a multi-dimensional, award-winning artist that specializes in creating art that serves to empower, accentuate, and champion the human experience. Inspired by community, nature, humanity, and faith, Lorna René has brought awareness for various causes, especially those involving the Special Needs, Cancer, and Veteran communities. 

Her artwork has been showcased at The Oklahoma State Capitol building, the Royal Hawaiian Jewelry and Art Gallery in Waikiki, the Aurora Central Library, in various festivals in New Orleans, and has been recently nominated to be showcased in London for the Parallax Art Fair. Her unique art provides unique visuals on wall spaces and encompasses a variety of landscape oil paintings, realistic art, eccentric ink, abstract print, modern, contemporary, and even themed art for corporate or residential properties. 

Lorna René is also the owner of Lorna René LLC, a Certified Woman's Owned Business, with two international award-winning pieces entitled “The Silhouette of GospelFest” and “Streaks of Levee Heaven”. She also serves as the Senior Partner of Anointed Real Estate Investments LLC., a natural progression after her 20+ years of experience in the real estate industry.

In her younger years, she was recognized for her work in art and was nominated for an art scholarship by The Art Institute of St.Louis. She won second place in the Queen City Youths Garden and Civic Club's Talent Division statewide competition. She was later awarded for her work in the Mississippi State Federation of Color's Women Club Inc. Competition. 

Throughout her career, Lorna René has created customized artwork for various institutions, clients, associates, churches, and loved ones. She is a wife of a veteran, married for over 40 years. She is also the mother of 5 children, 2 being Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veterans and 1 special needs child with Autism. She is a grandmother of 2, godmother of 4, and an "adopted mom" of many others.
